You can’t manage what you don’t measure. Effective carbon management starts with calculating your Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) and/or Product Carbon Footprint (PCF). This includes data collection, emissions calculation, and next steps such as transition plans, measures, and reduction targets.
Note: We use carbon footprint synonymously with a GHG inventory; all greenhouse gases are included in line with the GHG Protocol.

After the initial footprint, we enable your team to update the corporate carbon footprint annually with minimal external support. We define a simple, user-friendly process, provide checklists/templates, and train your staff. And we remain on hand whenever questions arise.

Our three-step approach
1. Set system boundaries
First, we work with you to define the organisational framework. Which locations, shareholdings and business units should be included in the balance sheet? We then define the operational boundaries and decide which emission categories to include. This creates a clearly defined balance sheet framework that fits your corporate structure perfectly and serves as a solid basis for all further steps.
2. Collect data
We provide you with a template tailored to your situation for recording the relevant data. If data cannot be determined for individual locations or categories, we will assist you in estimating it, e.g. based on the square metreage of your buildings. Depending on data availability, sales-based data (spend-based), quantity-based data (based on the weight of the goods purchased) or even supplier/product-specific data can be collected and used.
3. Calculate your carbon footprint
Based on the data collected, we calculate the carbon footprint for your company. You will receive this footprint as a detailed breakdown, divided into relevant categories and subcategories. You will also receive documentation of the methodology and the calculation bases used. This allows you to see your main emission drivers at a glance and provides you with the basis for setting targets and planning measures. We are also happy to support you in this process.
