The Milk Industry Organisation is a platform for the Swiss dairy industry. Its members include 37 regional and national organisations of milk producers and milk processors, as well as individual companies from industry and retail.
The Milk Industry Organisation aims to strengthen the economic viability of its members in the Swiss dairy industry by maintaining and promoting added value and market share in domestic and foreign markets.
Project
Accompanying the Evaluation of Climate Calculators for Swiss Dairy Farms
Period: August to November 2023
To support Swiss dairy producers on climate issues, the organization evaluated several tools for calculating the carbon footprints of dairy farms. We supported the evaluation by:
- Managing the working group
- Refining the criteria catalog
- Accompanying a practical test of several tools
- Evaluating the results and compiling a recommendation
